Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note Edge: 10 Hidden Features and Tips Samsung Wants You to Know

Now that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and its curved-display Galaxy Note Edge are widely available. Samsung wants to educate its new phablet owners with "10 Hidden Features of the Galaxy Note 4."
While most smartphone makers were working with 3.5-inch to 4-inch displays in 2011, Samsung took a gamble when it unveiled the original Galaxy Note at IFA in Berlin. The gargantuan device came equipped with a 5.3-inch display and also included a stylus with tons of tricks up its sleeve in the form of the much-loved S Pen. Tech critics slammed the jumbo-sized smartphone after Samsung's press event for the Galaxy Note and wrote it off as a niche product that would never gain mass consumer adoption for its size.
Samsung and consumers proved the critics wrong and the company's Galaxy Note phablet series has become the standard against which all other rival's phablets are judged. This year, Samsung decided to surprise the smartphone world and used IFA 2014 to announce two Galaxy Note phablets, the Galaxy Note 4and Galaxy Note Edge. The phablets are now on sale in the U.S. and while they both run Android 4.4 KitKat, an upgrade to Android 5.0 Lollipop is on its way.
Now that the Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge are both available, Samsung has created a "10 Hidden Features of the Galaxy Note 4" guide. Galaxy Note Edge users can also use the tips since, for all intents and purposes, the phablet is essentially the Galaxy Note 4 with a curved display.
Here's a quick rundown of some of the 10 hidden features Samsung wants you to know about.
* Place frequently used "Settings" at "Quick Settings"
* Samsung provides access to various settings when dragging down the notification bar. Users can also customize Quick Settings by adding up to 9 different features they use most.
* One-handed operation
* Since the Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge feature large 5.7-inch and 5.6-inch displays, respectively, Samsung has included a way to use the devices with one hand. Users simply drag their thumb across to the center of the display and back again, and the display will shrink before your eyes, making it easier to handle with one hand.
* Link Preview inside Messenger apps
* A useful S Pen feature that both the Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge come equipped with is being able to preview any URLs that are received via messaging. Hover the S Pen over the URL and you'll get a pop-up preview of what the contents of the URL are without leaving the app.
I highly recommend you check out the full list of all the hidden features you might not be aware of that are available inside the Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge.
